The choice of a producer of renewable energy sources, the allocation of territories for this purpose, and other conditions are the prerogative of the President of Azerbaijan.
This is stated in the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on amendments to the decree of February 2, 2005 "On approval of the Rules for the use of electrical energy."
The head of state will also approve the terms of contracts with renewable energy producers, chosen through an auction or direct negotiations.
