On the occasion of Oil Workers' Day, Rovshan Najaf, President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), together with the company's staff, visited the grave of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the Alley of Martyrs, Report informs, citing SOCAR.
The company's employees first went to the Alley of Honor, where they paid deep respect and reverence to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of the modern Azerbaijani state and architect of the country's new energy strategy, laying a wreath at his monument.
They also honored the memory of the prominent ophthalmologist and scientist, Academician Zarifa Aliyeva, placing flowers at her grave.
Afterwards, SOCAR employees visited the Alley of Martyrs, where they laid flowers at the graves of martyrs who heroically gave their lives for Azerbaijan's territorial integrity, and placed a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
