Seven leading OPEC+ members to increase oil production by 188,000 barrels per day in September

The seven leading members of OPEC+ that have been implementing voluntary oil production cuts have agreed to increase their combined daily oil output by 188,000 barrels in September 2026 compared to August.

According to Report, the decision was announced in a statement released by the organization.

Under the agreement, Russia's daily oil production quota will be increased by 62,000 barrels to 9.949 million barrels per day (bpd) in September. Saudi Arabia's quota will also rise by 62,000 bpd to 10.478 million bpd.

Meanwhile, Iraq's production quota will increase by 26,000 bpd to 4.431 million bpd, Kuwait's by 16,000 bpd to 2.676 million bpd, Kazakhstan's by 10,000 bpd to 1.628 million bpd, Algeria's by 6,000 bpd to 1.007 million bpd, and Oman's by 5,000 bpd to 841,000 bpd.

The statement also noted that the seven key OPEC+ members will continue holding monthly meetings to assess market conditions. The group's next meeting is scheduled for September 6.
