The ban on gasoline exports from Russia will be extended until the end of 2026.
According to Report, citing TASS, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced this to journalists.
According to Novak, the government headquarters has decided to extend the restrictions on gasoline exports for both producers and oil companies until the end of the year.
He also stated that the ban on diesel fuel exports will be lifted once the market situation stabilizes. According to Novak, this measure is intended to prevent oil refineries from facing difficulties associated with excess fuel inventories and reduced refining volumes.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the authorization to produce Euro-3 standard gasoline is only a temporary measure. The decision was made to increase fuel supplies to the domestic market and eliminate potential shortages. He added that Russia will eventually return to producing Euro-5 standard gasoline.
Currently, the ban on fuel exports from Russia remains in effect until July 31.
