Azerbaijan has discussed the construction of a 160 MW solar power plant and the development of a 2 GW offshore wind energy project in the Caspian Sea with PowerChina Resources Ltd.
The announcement was made by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov in a post on the social media platform X.
According to the minister, during his meeting with Yang Tianfu, President of PowerChina Resources Ltd., the parties reviewed opportunities to expand energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and China, as well as the implementation status of jointly developed green energy projects.
The meeting also included discussions on the modernization of Azerbaijan's electricity grid, the reliable integration of renewable energy sources into the national power system, and prospects for further cooperation in these areas.
