"GL Group" and "Baker Hughes" Launch Long-Term Strategic Partnership

A Strategic Cooperation Services Agreement with a five-year term has been signed between GL Group and Baker Hughes. The agreement aims to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two companies and establish a solid platform for future joint projects.

Under the agreement, the parties will combine their expertise, experience, and technological capabilities to evaluate opportunities for implementing projects of mutual interest. The partnership is expected to make a significant contribution to enhancing GL Group's operational efficiency, expanding its technological capabilities, providing access to advanced solutions, and supporting the company's long-term growth in Azerbaijan.

"This agreement marks a new stage in our cooperation with Baker Hughes and will play an important role in implementing GL Group's long-term development strategy," said Asif Zeynalov, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Advisory Board of GL Group.

According to him, the partnership will enable GL Group to benefit from global expertise, innovative technologies, and advanced operational solutions, which are essential for the company's sustainable development and long-term success.

Jim Sessions, Senior Vice President of Baker Hughes, noted that the company continues to invest in innovative technologies that improve operational efficiency, minimize risks, and enhance productivity worldwide. He stated that the primary objective of the strategic partnership is to develop and implement new technological solutions that will increase the efficiency of GL Group's energy assets while contributing to the advancement of the region's energy sector.

About GL Group

GL Group conducts operations at the Kursangi and Garabaghli oil fields in Azerbaijan's Salyan district, as well as the Buzovna-Mashtaga, Gala, and Zira fields on the Absheron Peninsula.

The group comprises the operating companies Salyan Oil Limited and Taghiyev Operating Company, as well as GL Technical Services, which provides technical services to the oil and gas industry.

In 2024, GL Group completed its first international investment by acquiring a 25% stake in Canada's Gazelle Energy Limited. The Canadian company owns a 100% interest in a promising natural gas field located in Türkiye's Thrace Basin.
