ASCO discussed the use of vessel logistics services in wind energy projects with the World Bank.

“Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping” CJSC (ASCO) and the World Bank have discussed logistics and vessel support issues related to offshore wind energy projects planned for implementation in the Caspian Sea.

Report, citing ASCO, says the matter was discussed during a meeting between company representatives and a delegation of World Bank experts.

A representative of the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy also attended the meeting.

According to the information provided, the parties assessed the potential demand for vessel services that may arise during the implementation of wind energy projects planned in the Caspian Sea. The discussions focused on the capabilities of ASCO’s specialized fleet, the types of vessels that could be used at different stages of the projects, as well as the logistical support required for offshore construction and installation operations.
