KMG and Chevron discuss oil supplies from Kazakhstan to world markets via BTC

A meeting was held in Astana between Askat Khasenov, Chairman of the Board of KazMunayGas (KMG), and Clay Neff, President of Upstream at Chevron, during which the parties discussed the supply of Kazakh oil to world markets via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium as well as via the Baku‑Tbilisi‑Ceyhan (BTC) export pipeline as an additional export route, Report informs, citing the Kazakh company.

"KMG and Chevron also discussed cooperation in geological exploration. Currently, the companies are exploring opportunities for collaboration on promising exploration projects in Kazakhstan. In addition, the supply of Kazakh oil to world markets via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and via BTC as an additional export route was discussed," the statement noted.

As a result, KazMunayGas and Chevron confirmed their readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial partnership.
