Given the growing significance of ensuring stable energy supply, cooperation between Japan and Azerbaijan in the economic sphere, particularly in the energy sector, is becoming increasingly relevant, Report informs, citing Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This was stated by Tomoaki Shimada, Japan’s Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, at a reception in Tokyo marking Azerbaijan's Independence Day.
"I noted that we intend to contribute to the further development of relations between our countries, including the expansion of our ties based on exchanges in the fields of sport and culture as the foundation of our friendship," Shimada said.
