A trilateral meeting was held in Tashkent between representatives of the energy authorities of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan on the sidelines of the "UEW 2026" International Energy Forum. Azerbaijan was represented at the forum by Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov.
Renewables reports, citing Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy, that the parties discussed the implementation status of the "Green Energy Corridor" project, which aims at the development of green energy production and transmission between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
The meeting participants paid special attention to the expansion of energy infrastructure and the development of new power transmission lines for integrating the energy systems of Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
The participants also confirmed their interest in the future progress of the project and in continuing to coordinate joint activities for the development of the trans‑regional green energy corridor.
