Within the initiative of the “Renewable Energy” Working Group of the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum, a webinar on the topic “Digitalization in the Renewable Energy Sector” was organized by experts from Türkiye’s Energy Digitalization Association (EDİDER). This was reported by the State Agency for Renewable Energy Sources (BOEMDA).
At the opening of the event, Jabrayil Aliyev, Head of the Project Management Department at BOEMDA, greeted the participants and expressed gratitude to his Turkish colleagues for organizing the seminar. He noted that events in this format will continue in the future with the participation of relevant institutions.
Subsequently, Mustafa Çalışkan, Co-Chair of the Working Group and Head of Department at the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye, delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of Azerbaijan-Türkiye energy cooperation and providing information about the objectives of the event.
In the main part of the seminar, representatives of EDİDER made presentations on the topic. On the subject of “Digitalization Strategies in Energy,” extensive speeches were delivered by Elif Düşmez Tek (CSO & Director at Deloitte and EDİDER), Mehmet Kocaoğlu (General Manager of MRC Türkiye and EDİDER Board Member), and Alper Terciyanlı (Vice President of EDİDER).
More than 70 representatives from relevant institutions participated in the webinar. At the end, questions from the participants were answered.
It should be noted that the seminar, planned for February 5-6, will continue on the following day with new presentations and discussions. This event is of significant importance in terms of sharing digital transformation and innovative approaches in the renewable energy sector between the two countries.
