Azerbaijan is making plans to stabilize and even increase oil production, while at the same time steadily raising gas production.
According to Trend, this was stated by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev while answering questions from business leaders from various countries during the event titled “Breakfast with Azerbaijani Leadership” held within the framework of the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The head of state emphasized that if the exploration work carried out by international energy companies in Azerbaijan yields successful results, there are very solid hopes for experiencing a second major oil boom in the country.
The President noted that it is still too early to talk about this, but the prospects of the exploration projects could create a real foundation for the beginning of a new rise period in Azerbaijan’s oil sector.
