JANUARY 09, 2026

The next – 12th – meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council is planned to be organized in the first quarter of 2026.

This was reported to Trend in response to its inquiry from the Ministry of Energy.

“The 12th meeting of the Council is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of the current year. Currently, work is underway to form the agenda of the event,” the ministry noted.

It should be recalled that the 11th meeting of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council was held on April 4, 2025.

The Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) is a strategic project that ensures the delivery of natural gas from the Caspian region to Europe. The corridor consists of three main pipeline systems: the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP), the Trans-Anatolian Pipeline (TANAP), and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) segments.

The corridor's initial transmission capacity is 10 billion cubic meters per year, and this capacity can be expanded to up to 20 billion cubic meters in the future.
