Turkish engineering company Hareket Project Transportation (HPT) has signed a two-year, $11 million contract with the Shah Deniz consortium to provide engineering, transportation, and crane services for the Shah Deniz Compression (SDC) platform, HPT announced in a press release, as reported by Interfax via Report.
The agreement, finalized following negotiations initiated earlier this month with SOCAR and BP, focuses on operational support for the platform construction at the Shah Deniz gas condensate field.
Hareket specializes in comprehensive project services, including planning, route surveys, lifting solutions, management, and installation, with extensive experience in large-scale oil, gas, petrochemical, renewable energy, and power projects across Türkiye and the Caspian region.
Construction of the SDC platform began in late September 2025, with first low-pressure gas production expected from the Alpha platform in 2029 and the Bravo platform in 2030.
The $2.9 billion SDC project is projected to unlock an additional 50 billion cubic meters of gas and 25 million barrels of condensate from the field.
