Azerbaijan’s main oil pipelines carried more than 33.4 million tons of oil from January to November 2025, reflecting a 5.5% year-on-year decline, according to the State Statistical Committee, as reported by Report.
The Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) export pipeline handled 74.6% of the total, transporting just over 24.9 million tons — a 7.2% decrease from the same period in 2024.
Of this volume, approximately 21.2 million tons (85.1%) originated from Azerbaijan, while over 3.707 million tons (14.9%) came from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Azerbaijani oil volumes via BTC fell by 3.4%, with Central Asian supplies dropping sharply by 24.2%.
The BTC primarily transports crude from Azerbaijan’s Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) fields and condensate from Shah Deniz, supplemented by volumes from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan.
ACG shareholders include BP (30.37%), SOCAR (31.65%), MOL Group (9.57%), INPEX (9.31%), ExxonMobil (6.79%), TPAO (5.73%), ITOCHU (3.65%), and ONGC Videsh Limited (2.92%).
