BP has introduced the Abriox Remote Monitoring System (RMS) in Azerbaijan to enhance pipeline safety and integrity, David Bezhitadze, Corrosion and Materials Engineer at BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Ltd, announced at the Asset Integrity, Corrosion and Coatings Conference 2025 in Baku.
The RMS platform provides real-time tracking of electrical parameters in pipelines and transformer-rectifier performance. “It enables instant detection of changes and early risk identification, significantly improving safety and operational decision-making,” Bezhitadze explained.
He noted that the system delivers more precise corrosion protection data and immediate alerts for anomalies. Currently deployed across BP’s major pipelines in Azerbaijan, RMS plays a key role in the company’s comprehensive pipeline integrity strategy.
