SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with MVM Group CEO Karoly Matrai on December 10 to explore broader energy sector collaboration, including ongoing initiatives and new opportunities, according to SOCAR’s website.
The discussions covered expanding ties in natural gas supply, infrastructure development, sustainable energy solutions, and regional partnerships.
During the meeting, SOCAR and MVM ONEnergy formalized a new natural gas supply agreement, effective January 1, 2026. The deal reinforces the strategic energy alliance between Azerbaijan and Hungary.
Building on a prior contract, the agreement underscores the companies’ established, reliable, and mutually beneficial relationship, highlighting their shared commitment to long-term cooperation and enhanced regional energy security.
