Georgia Authorizes Free One-Time Fuel Transit from Azerbaijan to Armenia

Georgia has approved a one-off, cost-free rail transit of fuel from Azerbaijan to Armenia through its territory, the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development announced, as reported by Trend.

The request from both partner countries was received on December 5, prompting Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze to immediately direct Georgian Railways to handle the shipment at no charge.

The ministry emphasized Georgia’s role as a dependable strategic partner to both Azerbaijan and Armenia, reaffirming its commitment to promoting peace and regional cooperation.
