Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marijana Kujundžić held discussions on accelerating the Green Energy Corridor project, which will enable renewable electricity exports from Azerbaijan to Europe, Report informs.
The meeting reviewed prospects for deeper Azerbaijan-EU energy cooperation, with the EU commending Azerbaijan’s reliability as an energy partner and its proactive renewable energy initiatives.
Key topics included sustaining the Energy Dialogue framework, expanding the Southern Gas Corridor, and joint efforts under the EU4Energy program. The sides also explored collaboration in decarbonization, energy efficiency, hydrogen development, and other forward-looking areas.
