Azerbaijan’s Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov participated in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) in the United Arab Emirates, contributing to high-level discussions on the future of global energy.
Zeynalov addressed the Ministerial Panel on the Future of Energy: Positivity, Pragmatism and Policies and the Ministerial Roundtable on Enhancing Energy Security and Resilience through Diversification. He highlighted the critical balancing role of conventional energy sources during a just energy transition and outlined Azerbaijan’s ambitious renewable energy initiatives.
He emphasized the importance of widespread adoption of energy storage technologies and power grid modernization to accelerate renewable energy growth. Zeynalov also underscored that successful energy transitions depend on regional integration, noting Azerbaijan’s leadership in developing green energy corridors and interconnectors linking the South Caucasus, Central Asia, Türkiye, and Europe. These projects will facilitate renewable electricity exports, network synchronization, and enhanced regional energy stability.
Held under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ADIPEC 2025 features 10 conferences and 380 sessions focused on shaping future energy systems, deploying innovative technologies, attracting clean energy investment, and advancing a secure and sustainable energy transition.
