Legislation in the field of renewable energy in Azerbaijan is being aligned with European legislation, this was stated by an employee of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy at the GSMA M360 Eurasia 2024 international conference held in Baku.
According to her, about 100 projects have been implemented in the field of renewable energy.
"Azerbaijan is working to improve legislation in the field of green energy. As we know, Azerbaijan is committed to reduce carbon emissions by 35% by 2030, and by 40% by 2050. Our country aims to create a zero emission zone in the territories freed from occupation," an employee said.
