The installed capacity of the plants built and to be built in the liberated territories will exceed 370 megawatts, President of Azerenerji OJSC Baba Rzayev said in an article published in the Azerbaijan newspaper.
“In addition, Sarsang Hydropower Station (SES) and other areas where our sovereignty has been restored have an existing energy potential of about 80 MW. The potential of other types of 'green energy' in the liberated territories, including in other parts of the country, is quite large. This potential further expands Azerbaijan's access to the world and greenlights huge dividends to our country,” he said.
The president of Azerenerji said that the generating capacities obtained through the creation of 240-megawatt solar and 240-megawatt wind power plants in the Absheron district, as well as 240-megawatt solar power plants in the Jabrayil district, 100-megawatt wind power plants in the Kalbajar district, as well as new small hydropower plants will ensure the export of eco-friendly energy.
