The meeting between SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) President Rovshan Najaf and Uzbekistan's Minister of Energy Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, who is on a visit to Baku, discussed the implementation of cooperation and joint projects in the oil and gas sector.
The parties also held discussions on the development of hydrocarbon resources, digitalization, the organization of mutual exchange of experience, and other issues of interest.
At the meeting, the issues arising from the tasks given by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev were discussed. It was stated that the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan based on friendly relations is developing successfully in all directions.
It was pointed out that high-level mutual visits play a special role in expanding relations between the two countries. In this regard, the importance of the documents signed within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Uzbekistan Business Forum on August 21 was noted.
