Azerbaijan continues to discuss possible cooperation on the construction of a new oil refinery in Pakistan, Deputy Energy Minister of Azerbaijan Ksaid at the Pakistan Minerals Summit in Islamabad.
The deputy minister informed the summit participants about the development of the oil and gas industry in Azerbaijan, production volumes, export dynamics and plans for the future, and spoke about Azerbaijan's contribution to the global transition to green energy and energy security.
In his speech, Kamal Abbasov focused on the energy cooperation agreement between the governments of Azerbaijan and Pakistan and highlighted SOCAR's activities as a reliable LNG supplier to Pakistan over the period since the signing of the document.
