In 2021, Azerbaijan transported 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas to Italy via the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) and became the country's third largest supplier of "blue fuel," country's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during the meeting with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio.
"Today, we discussed opportunities for further cooperation between the two countries and exchanged views on the development of alternative energy in Azerbaijan, which has recently received great attention. I think that Italian companies will show great interest in this area," he added.
