The Cabinet of Ministers amended the "Rules for the provision of technical conditions for consumers to receive electricity (capacity) and connect to the power supply network" approved by the decision of August 27, 2013.
According to the decision, from now on, the active prosumer of electricity, in addition to consuming energy, will be a legal entity or individual that produces electricity from renewable energy sources up to the capacity set by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Until now, this category included traditional, alternative and renewable electricity producers that produce and consume electricity at the same time.
In addition, according to the decision, the supply of meters to consumers using the active prosumer support mechanism is carried out in accordance with the Law "On the use of renewable energy sources in the production of electricity."
