Baku hosts conference on entrepreneurship

Baku hosted a conference on the topic "Innovative activities of small and medium-sized enterprises in stabilizing economic growth in the post-pandemic period", organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries (TurkPA) and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBİA) under the Ministry of Economy with the support of the Milli Majlis.

Report informs, the event was attended by members of parliament, representatives of the public and private sectors.

The conference discussed the measures taken to develop entrepreneurship in our country, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on SMEs and government support measures in this sector, the priorities of the post-pandemic period, and support for small and medium-sized businesses.

Member of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Agalar Valiyev noted that SMEs play a special role in the development of the economy, and the pandemic has a negative impact on the activities of SMEs both in our country and around the world.

Deputy Secretary-General of TurkPA, representative of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Talgat Aduov emphasized that Turkic-speaking countries are closely cooperating within the framework of TurkPA and other platforms. He expressed confidence that SMEs will contribute to economic recovery in the post-pandemic period.
